Mississippi Association of PDDs (MAPDD)
CMPDD is one of ten Planning and Development Districts that cover the State of Mississippi. Finding strength in numbers, the ten PDDs formed the Mississippi Association of Planning and
Development Districts. The purpose of the organization is for all ten PDDs to take advantage of ideas, thoughts, and new innovations on a collective basis.
The PDDs maintain a working relationship with the Mississippi Association of Supervisors (MAS), the Mississippi Municipal League (MML), Mississippi State Legislators, and many of
the State of Mississippi's Agencies. On the third Wednesday of each month, the Executive Directors from each of the PDDs meets in Jackson with the leaders of these organizations.
These meetings are meant to be educational and usually consist of local, state and federal officials who brief them on various programs.
CMPDD is under contract with the Association to be its administrative agent and therefore acts as staff to the association. For additional information regarding the association,
contact Bruce Reynolds at breynolds@cmpdd.org.
